Tiredness Warning System. Personal fatige alert."Fatigue is the silent killer on the roads and could be responsible for up to 30 per cent of deaths and a bigger percentage of serious injury crashes leaving many people in wheelchairs or worse for the rest of their lives. shift workers, people who work long days, students and those socialising into the early hours of the morning and those not getting enough sleep can easily tune out for a fatal few seconds.' Office of Road Safety.

AS SEEN ON TV. Fatigue kills. It is that simple. No machine should ever be relied upon to save your life, but as a backup precaution and an extra line of defence the revolutionary and convenient Tiredness Warning System goes a long way! Ideal for drivers, the transport and mining industries, aircraft pilots, security guards, farmers, shift workers, students or just about any application where fatigue and tiredness may cause an issue or safety concern.

Our Tiredness Warning System has the potential to pay for its self by saving in workers compensation and motor vehicle insurance premiums!

The Tiredness Warning System is an early warning system designed to alert the wearer against fatigue and drowsiness. It has been in development for over 7 years and has recently undergone international patent applications. The device electronically monitors several key bodily indicates by way of contact electrode pads. It is worn on the arm just like a wrist watch and special water based conductivity gel is required and supplied. It provide the date and time, plus a large graphical display of your "alertness level." As your alertness level declines (number reduces) you are prompted with an audible question with a real voice alert, you need to respond to the tiredness warning indicator by pressing the "answer" button. If you do not answer the TWS to signify that you are ok, you are asked again. If you miss a question the tiredness warning system starts to get worried and will vibrate to attract your attention. If you miss both the audible and vibration alert, an extremely low electrical impulse is activated which feels similar to somebody tapping a finger on your wrist! The benefits of the Tiredness Warning System include;

  • a small and unobtrusive tiredness and fatigue warning device
  • visual, audible, movement and electronic impulse warning alarms
  • non invasive, no eye monitoring devices, no special glasses or helmets
  • no sensors or electrodes to be specially installed in each vehicle
  • can be used any place, while driving, while working, while travelling
  • not restricted to one vehicle, can be used by various people, mobile
  • convenient, easy to use and most importantly

Tiredness Warning System Applications

The new personal Tiredness Warning System has many applications including the freight, transport, shift workers and aviation industries to name a few.

Hidden Benefits

Employers and operators show are demonstrating a proactive risk management and training program have potential to negotiate low workers compensation and motor vehicle insurance premiums.

Key Points

After 17 hours awake, your brain becomes sluggish and you become unpredictable

Shift workers are six times more likely to have a crash than day workers.

We naturally feel tired at 3am-5am and and 3pm-5pm. This is when most accidents happen

You may drift in and out of sleep without knowing.

Drivers should get off the road before the physical signs set in, electronic monitoring is required to achieve this.

Standards for managing fatigue in commercial WA vehicle drivers came into effect in July 2003.

Young drivers and professional drivers are more likely to be involved in fatigue related accidents on the roads.

COST EFFECTIVE

The Tiredness Warning System uses state of the art electronic components from Motorola and NEC. An upcoming optional upgrade allows connectivity and alert broadcasts to be sent to an FM radio transmitter or a local area network for monitoring and management purposes.

The Tiredness Warning System assists in guarding against driver fatigue and general operator fatigue. The Tiredness Warning System TWS001 should be used strictly as a backup or precautionary device only. Electronic devices may fail or stop working at any time. Even if working and used correctly no device should be solely relied upon to save your life. Your first line of defence against tiredness related accident, injury or death should always be training, common sense and self management.
